Will Shahrukh Khan act in an Anurag Kashyap film?
The Don 2 superstar might be seen in one of the Dev.D director’s forthcoming films
Anurag Kashyap seems to be in the best phase of his career. His last film Gangs Of Wasseypur was appreciated by critics and did well at the BO too. When we met him recently, he told us that he has already moved on to his next, the intriguingly named Ugly. He is also busy with pre-production for his ambitious Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet. And now buzz is that Shahrukh Khan is keen on working with Kashyap, perhaps thanks to the success of GOW.
Anurag and SRK go back a long way; they studied in the same college. The Dev.D director wanted to cast King Khan in No Smoking, but that didn’t work out and he opted for John Abraham instead. Something similar happened with Bombay Velvet too, we hear, for which Ranbir was eventually signed on. Apparently SRK is very keen on Anurag directing a film for him, though neither them nor us have any idea whether that will actually happen. We wonder if it would be a commercial one like the usual SRK flicks, or a dark and edgy story of the kind that Kashyap is known for. Dear Bollywoodlifer, do you think the two should work together?
