Shahrukh Khan’s character in Farah Khan’s next Happy New Year is loosely based on George Clooney’s character in Ocean’s Eleven. Will the King Khan reprise the Hollywood star’s role?
Now don’t chuckle as yet! We know that George Clooney was his dashing best in the popular Hollywood action flick Ocean’s Eleven and it is difficult for Shahrukh Khan to fit into his shoes. But Farah Khan is aspiring to make SRK do a Clooney in her forthcoming movie Happy New Year. Farah’s ambitious project unlike Ocean’s Eleven is not based on a heist. Instead, it revolves around dance and dance competition whereas Clooney’s character was the one who leads a pack of robbers to pull off an unimaginable robbery, Shahrukh will direct a bunch of dancers to win the coveted competition.
In Happy New Year, SRK will apparently play a 40-something guy who is cool with the girls, yet emphatically wants to remain single. He will lead the pack, which will comprise of Abhishek Bachchan, Vivaan Shah and Boman Irani. The other guys will follow his instructions to excel.
A little birdie chirped that Shahrukh and Farah were considering the Pavitra Rishta famed actor Ankita Lokhande (yes, the beauty is the much-talked about girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput) for the role. Even Sarswatichandra beauty Jennifer Winget Grover was also in the race. Even Katrina Kaif was also considered as SRK thought she would fit the role, but now it is clear that Deepika Padukone has been finalised to play the part of the Marathi bar dancer in the movie.
