Vidhu Vinod Chopra is considering a certain Rajesh Mapuskar to direct Munnabhai 3 in the absence of Rajkumar Hirani. Mapuskar has already directed the producer’s Ferrari Ki Sawari
It’s been more than five years since the Munnabhai-Circuit jodi made us laugh uncontrollably with their wit and antics. Now the wait is over! We’ve heard that producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is gearing up to make Munnabhai 3 with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, but it may not be directed by ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. Munnabhai 3 is likely to be helmed by a new director Rajesh Mapuskar as Hirani is busy writing his film based on superstitions. Mapuskar, according to Vidhu Vinod is the ideal replacement for Hirani as he has done a great job with Ferrari Ki Sawari which is slated to be released in April next year. Well, that’s for the audience to decide, No? We know for sure that the producer is taking a huge risk but will it pay off or not will depend on the fate of Ferrari Ki Sawari. The Munnabhai film is ideally set to go on floors late next year, let’s hope they don’t disappoint us with this one… fingers crossed!
