Friday night was indeed special for the King of Romance was being celebrated!
Shahrukh Khan with the Yash Chopra heroines for company – Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and Parineeti Chopra. This is something only a maverick like Yash Chopra could have managed to bring together. While all the heroines were stunners, it was the King Khan who was the show stopper, and why not? After all he is the official heir to the title – King of Romance.
The divas walked the ramp in customised Diva’ni collection. Anushka Sharma who was the first to strut the ramp (guess the most confident one considering her strong modeling background) relived the Victorian era on the ramp while Parineeti Chopra recreated the essence of Madhubala. Chopra’s Kiran from Darr Juhi Chawla was enchanting, while Sridevi who made white chiffon saris a trend in Chandni strut the ramp in a royal avatar and looked devine in white. Dhak Dhak gal Madhuri Dixit-Nene looked radiant in a sequenced handiwork black attire. Rani Mukherjee wore a rich pink zardosi saree. Preity Zinta wore a white Kashmiri art ensemble and reminded reminisced the Dil Se days. Katrina Kaif wore a Swarosvki laden Diva’ni creation and the mystic Goddess Rekha was pure joy to watch in pure weaves from Diva’ni.
Each of these Yash Raj heroines looked splendid and they had the perfect chivalrous company in Shahrukh Khan who looked uber cool in a black suit.
Pamela Chopra’s this special celebration was definitely a hit and a delight to the viewers. But, its not SRK who is the first when it comes to strutting the ramp, remember how Salman Khan managed to pull off a casting coup for his Being Human show at the Couture week when he got warring heroines in the same stage – Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji Sushmita Sen and the Dabangg Khan rocked the ramp.
