The Baghban director is admitted to the city hospital due to sever lung ailment
Son of late BR Chopra and nephew of Yash Chopra (who breathed his last on Sunday evening), Ravi Chopra has been admitted to the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, after he complained of chest pain. The 66-year-old filmmaker has been diagnosed with a severe lung ailment.
A close source to the family informs us that his condition is stable now. The filmmaker has been in a financial turmoil and his health condition has also been troubling him for a long time. We have also learnt that Ravi is immobile right now and has to be wheeled around. He is unable to speak and can communicate only through signs and written notes.
Ravi Chopra has directed many films in his filmy career, including Zameer (1975), The Burning Train (1980) Baghban (2003) and Baabul (2006), and he also produced Amitabh Bachchan-Shahrukh Khan-starrer Bhoothnath in 2008. We wish him a speedy recovery.
