Some recent reports suggested that YRF will launch Sunny paaji’s son Karan as an actor, but according to Deol’s spokesperson, it’s not true
According to a tabloid report, Karan Deol is all set to be launched as an actor, and helping the talented young lad fulfill his dream is none other than B-town’s elite and respected production house – Yash Raj Films. The report stated that the Yamla Pagla Deewana actor buried his 20-year-old hatchet with YRF’s new head honcho, Aditya Chopra and the two have decided to let bygones be bygones.
History has it that Sunny Deol and the late Yash Chopra had a huge fall out after the release of Darr. Sunny felt (Yash Chopra’s favourite) Shahrukh Khan was given more prominence than him and the actor and director never worked together again. However, after the demise of Yashji, Aditya and Sunny met and resolved their differences.
And this was exactly the time Sunny’s son Karan was making his B-town debut. So rumour mills were buzz with news that YRF will pick up Karan for their next project. Like most star kids, the young Deol began as an assistant director on the sets of Sangeeth Sivan’s Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and he will now take the plunge into acting.
When we decided to verify the story with Deol’s spokesperson, we received a text message, “No, wrong news.” Though we would love Karan to team up with YRF considering the studio has successfully launched several newcomers – recent examples being Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Anushka Sharma – it’s up to Karan which production house he intends to debut with….
