Among the crowd of award shows held every year, Zee Cine Awards 2013 is known to stand out for being the Viewer’s Choice Awards, and more importantly, for the breathtaking performances by apna favourite Bollywood sitaras that leave the audience asking for more
The Zee Cine Awards 2013 dished out some incredible performances from the industry’s heartthrobs – Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, including the young sensations like Ayushmann Khurrana and Varun Dhawan. One of the hottest and most talented stars, Ayushmann left everybody whistling and clapping as he grooved to Vicky Donor’s hit Punjabi track Rum and Whiskey, Jumma chumma de de from the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Hum, Pandeyji seeti maare from Dabangg 2 and later made a surprise entry to join Varun Dhawan on the Vele number. Varun managed to get more oohs and aahs from the audience as he sizzled on stage shirtless (naturally) flaunting his six packs!
If the two young heartthrobs were hot, Anushka Sharma too was oh-so-sizzling as she danced to the hit numbers – Oye boy charlie and the title track of her soon-to-release Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, and Laung da lashkara from Patiala House. With the film’s buzz having struck the right chord with the audience, young fans might have missed seeing chocolate boy Imran Khan with Anushka, but trust this gorgeous babe to give the audience some edge-of-the-seat entertainment with her mind-blowing performance.
The highlight of the evening was the performance by none other than Shahrukh Khan, who paid a tribute to the legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra along with Karisma Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. SRK had a dhamakedaar entry as he landed on stage on a horse statue. King Khan started the act by reciting the famous Kabhi kabhi song, with new words keeping the late filmmaker in mind. Karisma Kapoor surprised the audience as she shook a leg with SRK on Le gayi from Yash Chopra’s Dil To Pagal Hai. Must admit, SRK and Karisma relived the moment of the musical blockbuster! Shahrukh later danced with Anushka on Tujh mein rab dikhta hai from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, followed by Katrina on Saans (Jab Tak Hai Jaan). Needless to say, the stage was set ablaze as these stars created some memorable moments.
