Television’s most celebrated awards will soon be on air. And a few favourite onscreen jodis visited the cities their respective serials are based in, to shoot for a Nomination Special Episode and ask for their fans’ love and support.
Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi (Arjun and Purvi of Pavitra Rishta) began the journey when they shot in the chawls of Mumbai. They visited a family living there and were treated to delicious Marathi snacks like poha and jalebi by an old lady who was happy beyond bounds when she met them. After spending time with her, the two stars headed for a tonga ride at Nariman Point and were greeted by fans who said that they loved the two as a couple on their show. Rithvik and Asha asked their fans to vote for their show Pavitra Rishta, which has been nominated in the category of Favorite Dharawahik.
Jaipur’s favourite jodi Arhaan Behl and Mansi Shrivastav (Raghu and Shivani of Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se) headed to the pink city. They took a stroll around the town, had an elephant ride, enjoyed Rajasthani food and interacted with their fans. They first went to Albert Hall Square and then headed to the inner city to meet people. The two were welcomed with grandeur as they rode a camel, with Rajasthani folk dancers and fans cheering for them.
Television’s most chirpy couple Ankit Gera and Roopal Tyagi (Mayank and Gunjan from Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke) travelled to Lucknow. Their fans welcomed them in asli Nawabi style with band-bajaa and aarti. After gorging on the city’s famous tundey kebabs, the two met fans and asked them to vote for their jodi, nominated in the Favorite Jodi category.
Completing the journey in Ahmedabad were Manav Gohil and Ulka Gupta (Sanjay and Ami from Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi), who were welcomed in royal Guju style with dandiya raas and garba. Once in Goyal Society, they visited a family where members told them that they lived exactly like the parivaar shown in the serial. Sanjay and Ami played fun games with their fans, like saree draping, dhokla eating, etc.
