The veteran actor died at the age of 102 years last night

After having entertained over three generations of film viewers, Zohra Sehgal bid adieu to the mortal world last night. A child at heart, the feisty and spunky Zohra never had a conventional life! She was the first girl in her family to pursue acting, she went abroad to train herself in ballet and had an inter-religion marriage. Forever breaking away from the normative, Sehgal is and always will be the most loved granny of Indian cinema. She has worked with the old and the new bigwigs of both cinema and theatre, like Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Shashi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor to name a few.

The film industry suffered a massive and irreparable loss last night with the death of this magnificent actor. There won’t be many like her but we know that Zohra’s light will shine forever on Bollywood!
