Delhi High Court Tuesday remanded Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav to 10 days police custody for concealing facts about a Rs.5 crore recovery suit filed against him and his wife by a Delhi-based entrepreneur.
Justice S. Murlidhar also asked Yadav’s wife to remain present in the Registrar General’s office till the rising of the court.
The judge also issued a contempt of court notice against two lawyers representing the couple.
Rajpal and Radha has taken loan of Rs 5 crores from Delhi-based entrepreneur, M.G. Agarwal (owner of Murli Projects), for making their Hindi debut directional film Ata Pata Laapata (2010). When Rajpal failed to repay the loan, the lender filed a case against them in the high court.
