Bollywood’s megastar is ready to pay an ode to the director of his first film
Amitabh Bachchan says he has dubbed a tribute for the 100th birth anniversary of late filmmaker K A Abbas, who was born in June, 1914. The 71-year-old actor forayed into Bollywood with Abbas’ 1969 film Saat Hindustani and also won a National award.
“Started day at 7:30 am… dubbed for a tribute to KA Abbas, for his centenary… KA Abbas who gave me my first film !,” Bachchan wrote on Twitter. The legendary filmmaker who passed away at the age of 72, in 1987, co-wrote the screenplays of some of Raj Kapoor‘s classics like, Awara, Shree 420 and Bobby among others.
Abbas also directed films like Saat Hindustani and Aaj Aur Kal among others.
