Asiavision Movie Awards: Saraswatichandra wins Best TV Drama of the Year

The famous TV serial won the Best TV Drama of the Year at the coveted awards

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s TV show Saraswatichandra, which is aired on Star Plus bagged the Best TV Drama of the Year award at Asianvision Movie Awards (AMA). The Gujrati serial is based on Govardhanram Tripathi’s novel with the same name.

The lead characters of the show- Saraswatichandra and Kumud are played by Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget. The show had gained popularity over a period of time and this was proven when the serial one the Best TV Drama of the Year at the AMA Awards.

In a double whammy for the channel, Star Plus won the Best Channel Award at AMA. Asianvision Movie Awards are public choice awards and generally stand testimony to most popular trends of the year.
