Daniel Radcliffe to play a journalist’s role in Tokyo Vice

The Harry Potter star will essay the role of Jake Adelstein, a journalist, in his upcoming movie, Tokyo Vice

24-year-old Daniel Radcliffe has signed in to portray the real life journalist Adelstein in his upcoming film Tokyo Vice. The movie is said to be adapted from the writer’s memoir- Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan, reported a website.

The project chronicles the American’s experiences as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Press Club, during which he exposes a corruption scandal and helps end Yakuza gang boss Goto Tadamasa’s reign of terror.

Radcliffe has been working incessantly since his Harry Potter days. In a recent interview he also said that he prefers going for 12 hour shift to film sets rather than attending film premier parties. He said that he doesn’t want to go wrong at such a vulnerable stage of his career where he is famous at such a young age.

Tokyo Vice will go on floors next summer.
