The filmmaker is almost done with making the film based on the infamous double murder
Earlier there were reports of Milan Luthria‘s next film being based on Aarushi Talwar’s murder but the filmmaker shelved the film as the issue is stirring strong emotions and Luthria does not want to trivialise the issue. Well, though Luthria isn’t making a film on the case,we all will soon see the drama unfold in the form of Rahasya starring Tisca Chopra and Ashish Vidyarthi. Manish Gupta who wrote the Amitabh Bachchan-Abhishek Bachchan starrer Sarkar will make a film on the tragic murder mystery.
Tisca Chopra, who plays Nupur Talwar in the film based on the Aarushi Talwar murder case, says she is fascinated by extreme human behaviour, and did this film because somebody else would’ve done it anyway. The actor has been following the case even before she signed the film as the case fascinates her at some level.
But many people, including Nupur Talwar, felt that it’d be insensitive to make a film on this. On this Tisca says, “If somebody’s gone and killed their child, somebody’s going to make a story about it. It can’t be kept under wraps. If you’re taking your dog for a walk, nobody will make a story about it. The scope of human behaviour when it gets extreme is what films are made on. That’s our area of interest. They’re saying don’t make it, tell me, why not?” asks the actor.
