The veteran Bollywood ladies will be felicitated for having created a niche for themselves in the film industry
Bollywood’s veteran actors Padmini Kolhapure, Zarina Wahab and Rati Agnihotri will be honoured in Lucknow on Saturday for their ‘active role’ in the film world. The actors will be recognised for highlighting the strengths of women, said an organiser of the event to be held by Friends India, a social organisation.
Other than the trio, among other actors who would be felicitated are Nimmi, Anita Raj (currently being seen in 24) and Rameshwari.
They will be presented with an award at the event. The organisers said these actors had not only taken on the male-dominated film world in the 1980s, but they had also created a special place for themselves.
