The veteran actor talks about his experience of working in Finding Fanny

Veteran Indian actor Pankaj Kapoor says he agreed to star in Bollywood’s upcoming flick Finding Fanny because it gave him a chance to work with director Homi Adajania and a talented starcast.

“I got a very good vibe from Homi. I felt very comfortable in his presence. I felt he was chilled out and a nice guy who came up with an interesting script. He gave me a lot of confidence as a person. The kind of role I play in the film is very unique and something that I have never done before,” Pankaj told PTI.

The film, starring Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj, is slated to hit the screens on September 12.

Pankaj, 60, is all praise for the young cast of the film, saying he was quite impressed with their dedication and discipline to the craft.

“It’s a great pleasure to work with fine actors and Naseer is one of the finest actors that we have. It is always great working with him but in this given case, the three other actors were quite a joy too. They had a down-to-earth approach, great professionalism and discipline towards their craft.”

The film is in English but Pankaj does not think that would pose a problem for the movie to relate to the audience.

“The producers have their vision about how they want to market the film. There are a whole lot of people who speak the language comfortably. When they see Indian characters speaking English, I don’t think they will find it troublesome. Some films have already been made in this language,” he said.Subscribe to me on YouTube
