The 41-year-old is said to be stable now and recuperating at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital
Former cricketer Vinod Kambli was admitted to a hospital after he complained of uneasiness and chest pain here Friday morning, hospital sources said. Kambli was taken ill while he was driving from Chembur to Bandra and suddenly stopped the vehicle.
A policewoman on duty, Sujata Patil noticed he could not drive and arranged to rush him to Lilavati Hospital. Hospital sources say he is under observation and undergoing various tests to determine his health condition.
Kambli is perhaps still best known for his then record partnership of 664 with Sachin Tendulkar in a school match when he was 17 and Tendulkar 16.
