We feel there is more to Hrithik than his quicksilver legs

Hrithik Roshan made a smashing entry into Bollywood with his killer moves in his debut film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, and got an entire generation trying to match steps with him. He followed it up with two offbeat roles in Khalid Mohamed’s Fiza (2000) and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Mission Kashmir (2000). These got him critical acclaim, but were not regular box office hits. Now he is becoming the face of excellence in dance with his TV show, Just Dance. Of course, there is more to Hrithik Roshan than his quicksilver legs; he does have some serious acting chops, too. And we think he is hot stuff in that department. But we prefer the twinkletoes avatar, frankly…

Jodhaa Akbar (2008) showed off Hrithik as Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, trying to balance love, family and conquest. There was no filmy-ishtyle dance in it, but beautiful settings, beautiful costumes and a beautiful heroine in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that managed to make it work. The film will also be remembered for Hrithik’s twirling ecstatically to AR Rahman’s ‘Khwaja mere khwaja’.
