After Shruti Haasan, Tamannaah to play a village girl in Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu!

Aagadu has faced serious allegations from Pawan Kalyan fans for being a copy of Gabbar Singh

When the teaser of Mahesh Babu’s upcoming cop film Aagadu was out, a lot of allegations were raised on the film to be aping Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh. But the director Srinu Voitla and Prince Mahesh were quick to retort rubbishing all the rumours. Now the latest we hear is that film’s heroine Tamannaah would be playing a village belle just like Shruti Haasan did in power star’s Gabbar Singh.

Initially, speculations were flying thick and fast that Tamannaah will be donning khaki uniform playing a fellow cop to Mahesh Babu’s character. But the pretty lass dismissed all the rumours, revealing that she would be playing a village chick who runs a sweet shop. Now if you jog your memory a little, Tamannaah’s new found friend Shruti Haasan also played a village belle in Gabbar Singh, where she portrayed the role of handicraft vendor. Though both the heroines have slightly different professions, the backdrops of Aagadu and Gabbar Singh look quite similar.

Is Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu inspired from Pawan Kalyan’s cop flick Gabbar Singh? We will have to wait and watch. For now, we wonder what film’s director Srinu Voitla has to say about the fresh allegations hailed towards his film Aagadu.
