Ajith performed some daring stunts for his forthcoming film Billa 2, which is gearing up to hit the screens soon
The South actor hung from a helicopter for the climax scene of Billa 2, which is said to be one of the major highlights of the movie.“Even after director Chakri Toleti and stunt co-ordinators told Ajith that it would be risky to perform the scene and a body double could be used, the actor rejected their suggestions and performed it on his own,” said a source close to the unit. They further add, “The scene was shot using three helicopters and it required Ajith and Vidyut Jamwal (who is playing the villain) to hang from one of the choppers. Without minding the risk invovled, Ajith used little safety materials and performed it.”
The film is a prequel to Ajith’s earlier hit Billa, which hit the screens in 2007. The theatrical rights of the sequel was brought by Aascar Ravichandran for a whopping Rs 24 crore. The film is rumoured to release on May 1, which happens to coincide with Ajith’s birthday. Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abudllah are the leading ladies of Billa 2, where as Nayanthara and Namitha were the heroines in Billa.
