The movie, being directed by Siruthai Siva, promises to be an action entertainer and will release for Pongal 2014
It’s official. Ajith’s 53rd film, which is being directed by Siruthai Siva, has been titled Veeram. In the movie, Tamannah has been cast opposite Ajith for the first time.
A press release from the film’s makers said on Sunday evening: “V is a lucky alphabet for Ajith. His earlier films beginning with ‘V’ were Vaali, Varalaaru, and Villain. It is a significant co-incidence that the production company’s name (Vijaya Productions) also starts with V”.
The statement further said, “An important action sequence of the film on a train is being shot in Raigada, a border town of Odisha. We are confident that Veeram will be a treat for Ajith fans on Pongal day.”
Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for Veeram, which also has Pradeep Rawat, Vidharth, Bala, Muneesh and others in key roles. It is to be noted that the title of Ajith’s 52nd film, Arrambam, and its first look were unveiled only a couple of weeks ago.
