Ajith to join April 1 hunger protest against genocide in Sri Lanka; Vetrikondan launch postponed

The launch of Siva’s next, initially scheduled for April 1, has now been postponed

The launch of Ajith’s new film, Vetrikondan, with director Siva of Siruthai fame and produced by Venkatrama Reddy of Vijaya productions has been postponed to April 5.

Initially it was scheduled to be launched on April 1 but Ajith, with the consent of the producer, has decided to postpone the launch and the subsequent shooting schedule of the film to April 5, we hear.

As for the reason behind the decision, it is said that the postponement is so that Ajith can participate in the hunger protests by the South Indian Artistes Association on April 2.

The protest is being organised in Chennai by the Nadigar Sangam demanding action against the Sri Lankan government for its alleged war crimes and to extend support to the Tamils living in the island nation.Subscribe to me on YouTube
