Alia Bhatt to do a Tamil film?

After her sweet yet dominating portrayal of Tamil Brahmin girl in 2 States, the pretty babe is getting offers from Kollywood

Alia Bhatt’s performance as a Tambrahm girl in her Rs 100 crore grosser film 2 States seemed to dazzled the K-town film makers. After Sunny Leone’s attraction to film industries down South, we hear Alia is also taking some interest in  South Indian films.

Apparently, director GNR Kumaravelan of critically acclaimed Haridas is eyeing on Alia Bhatt to sign his next film. “I have an intention to cast a heroine from the North. I have personally approached Alia Bhatt for my film and there are positive signs. However, nothing has been decided yet. We should be able to make an announcement on this issue as soon as the producers for the film are finalised” stated the excited director.

The untitled film also stars Vikram Prabhu, grandson of yesteryear legend Sivaji Ganesan, in lead role. Kumaravelan is in a lookout for a producer who could put in some big amount to take the film to the next level. “All I can say at this time is that both Vikram Prabhu and I are absolutely certain that this film will take us to the next level. I waited for a year after Haridas to do this film because I was sure right from the start that there can be no one better suited to do this character than Vikram Prabhu,” added Kumaravelan.

Alia has had a wonderful year so far with Highway getting her the critical acclaim and 2 States being the big money spinner of 2014. If the words of the director are to go by, then Alia seems to be contemplating on her decision to venture down South. Who knows, by this time next year we might see Alia Bhatt mouthing Tamil dialogues in her Kollywood debut?
