B-town’s ace director has decided to distribute the Tamil movie in Central and North India
Bala, the maker of movies like Sethu, Nanda and Pithamagan, is now waiting for the release of Paradesi, a tale about the plight of tea estate workers. The film stars Atharva, Vedika and Dhanshika in lead roles.
The latest buzz in Kollywood is that Anurag Kashyap has shown interest in taking Bala’s Paradesi to a wider market, mainly Central and North India. The Gangs of Wasseypur director plans to screen the film with English and Hindi sub-titles through his company Phantom Films Pvt Ltd.
Bala and Anurag Kashyap surely have much in common, with their penchant to walk off the beaten track and set new trends in cinema. It’s quite likely that mutual respect has led to this new business proposition.
