The song was revealed by Rahman on MTV Unplugged
It was a treat for music buffs on Saturday night (November 3), when AR Rahman unveiled Nenjukulle, a song from Mani Ratnam’s film Kadal. The new number was inveiled on MTV Unplugged on which Rahman performed.
Within minutes of the Oscar-winner launching the song penned by Vairamuthu and sung by Shakthisree Gopalan, it went viral on social networking, video sharing and microblogging sites. Many fans of Rahman posted on their pages that they could not wait to listen the complete audio of Kadal, which will hit stores soon.
Kadal, a movie about the lives and travails of fishermen, stars Karthik Gautham, Thulasi Nair, Arjun and Arvind Swamy in crucial roles. The film has been made at a budget of Rs 50 crore. It releases December 2012.

nenjukulle from kadal was simply out of the world…… @ night 12 i started to listen and around 1.30 i stopped it due to low battery……. i was simply riding my bike in mount road listening to this song……….in midnight.. wow wht a song .. another reason to celebrate mozart of madras and mani.sir
