Kollywood star, Arjun Sarja was born on August 15, 1964

Besides celebrating the National Independence Day, the actor also turns 48 today.Coincidence or not, Arjun Sarja has done significant movies with a strong national fervour theme. Remember the superbly made Kurudhipunal in which he was a perfect foil to Kamal Haasan and the excellent Mudhalvan wherein he plays CM for a day to clean up the system?

Arjun may be nearing his 50′s today, but he shows no sign of slowing down as far as his career is concerned. He played a superlative dark role in last year’s Mankatha, followed by a string of action flicks such as Kaattupuli and Maasi. Also, proving that he’s maturing all the time as a performer, he shunned action to take on the role of a middle-aged father in the Kannada film Prasad recently. Currently busy with a clutch of projects, Arjun is  doing a role in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, which he is mighty pleased about.
