Rumour has it that SS Rajamouli’s historical spectacle has hiked its budget from Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore
Prabhas-Anushka starrer Baahubali has been on tip of every film buff’s tongue thanks to star studded star cast and gigantic budget. The film which was initially revealed to be shot on mega budget of Rs 100 crore seems to be facing steep financial issues due to 50 percent hike in the above stated budget. That’s right! Rumours are rife that Baahubali is now being made on monstrous budget of Rs 150 crore.Directed by visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli, the film starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tammanaah is giving headaches to the producers, who are beginning to sweat at amount of money flowing to shoot this magnum opus. Grapevine has it that film’s run time is also giving sleepless nights to the makers. A source said,” Till now the film’s length is about five and a half hours. They have not yet decided whether to release it in two parts or as one film. If they decide to release it as one film, they will have to make a few changes and Prabhas can be seen in a dual role.”
The film has been delayed time and again due to some unforeseen reasons. Recently few months back, the shooting came to standstill as hero Prabhas’s injured himself while shooting for the film. Baahubali is touted to release in 36 languages! With the film being shot at such grand scale, we are not surprised that cost of the film is sky rocketing.
