From offering free CDs to screening it in a record number of theatres, the makers are pushing the Shivaraj Kumar film hard
Hat trick hero Shivaraj Kumar’s 100th film Jogayya has created waves in the Kannada film industry. The makers have gone all out with the publicity campaign. The movie is expected to hit 250 screens across Karnataka, a Sandalwood record.
B K Srinivas, who is distributing the film, has ordered 170 hoardings and 17 lakh posters to be displayed in Bangalore, Tumkur and Kolar regions. He is distributing close to 50,000 Jogayya shirts and caps to attract Shivanna’s fans. He will be freely distributing nearly 14 lakh CDs in all the release centres to viewers who purchase tickets for Jogayya. Around 4,000 autorickshaws will display publicity material in major centres. Whew. Though the film is scheduled to be released on August 19, tickets for the first three days have already been issued and the bookings have been commendable. Let’s see if Jogayya can keep up the pace.
