The veteran producer turns 77 today
Born on June 6, 1936, Daggubati Ramanaidu has a lot to celebrate!
The veteran from Andhra has produced movies in several Indian languages and made it to the Guinness Book of Records for having produced a mind-boggling 130 films. His first venture was 50 years ago, the Telugu film Anuragam.
For his contribution to cinema, Ramanaidu was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2010. His other National Award has been for the Bengali film Asukh in 1999. Completely in love with films, the producer also does cameo appearances in his films from time to time.
His involvement with Telugu cinema looks set to continue with grandsons Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya having established their places in Tollywood.
