The Golden Star is hoping to persuade his favourite director to helm his next project

Despite his directorial debut Kool not appearing all that cool to the audience, Sandalwood’s Golden Star Ganesh has reason to smile. His dream of having a platinum jubilee run at the box office might just come true soon.

Industry sources are abuzz with the news that Ganesh might soon get a chance to work with his favourite director S Narayan on his next project Mynaa, the Kannada remake of the Tamil film of the same name. The actor, who is currently busy with the pre-production of Mynaa, hopes to rope in Narayan to direct it. Ganesh reportedly visited the ace director at his residence in Bengaluru and requested him to wield the megaphone for his new project. Producer K Manju, who seeks an experienced hand to direct the movie, also favours Narayan to bring out the true Kannadiga flavour in the film. While the leading lady is yet to be confirmed, rumours suggest that Amala Paul, who was in the Tamil version, may reprise her role. Incidentally, the Tamil film had been written and directed by Prabhu Solomon. It had gathered huge critical and commercial acclaim when it released last Diwali.
