Illaya Thalapathy Vijay took time off his busy schedule to spend some time with martyr Major Mukund Varadarajan’s daughter
Gillie actor Vijay known for his staggering dance moves, heroic stunts and punch dialogues in his films, is actually a very humble person in real life. The Thuppakki star showcased this side when he agreed to meet the Arsheya, daughter of late Major Mukund Varadarajan. The little birdie has it that Illaya Thalapathy Vijay, who is currently shooting for AR Murugadoss’s Kaththi, took time off from shoot and spent nearly 45 minutes with the little girl.
During the tribute meeting for the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, who had sacrificed his life battling the terrorist in Kashmir on April 25 this year, the social activists got to know that little Arsheya was an ardent Vijay fan and hence requested Illaya Thalapathy to meet the little girl. “We had organised a tribute meeting on Tuesday and everyone was a little sad after the event. We were driving back home when the Tamil pasanga song from the Vijay starrer Thalaivaa started playing on the radio. Arsheya, who was asleep until then, immediately woke up on hearing the song and even started singing along” said Abdul Ghani, the social activist.
“Once I realised this, I requested Vijay to spend some time with Arsheya. I called up Vijay anna and he immediately agreed,” added Ghani. Little Arsheya was thrilled to see her favourite hero Vijay in person and the two had a rollicking time together.
It is always heart-warming when stars shed their glitzy avatar and bond with their fans. Vijay, who had portrayed the character of a Major in Thuppakki, seems to understand the lives of army personnel and their families. So when Vijay brought smile to the gloomy face of Arsheya, it was a sight worth watching.
