Is Nayanthara acting too pricey?

The Southern actor has made it very clear that she is back for good and producers have been lining up outside her house ever since. But can they get to her?

The actor has signed up to do five films (Telugu – Love Story, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and in Tamil – Ongaram, Jagan Mohan IPS, and the yet untitled Vishnuvardhan project) at present, without much as a break. We wonder if this is a way to get over Prabhu Deva after the great love story went sour. But all work and no play is not going to do you any good, Nayan!

Nayanthara is an asset and a priority on every producer and director’s most wanted list. But it seems this notion is going to her head. While we appreciate her enthusiasm to do more work, Nayanthara seems to be nonchalantly refusing some of the big-shots of the Southern film industry. If rumours are to be believed, the latest to be shown the door is Mani Ratnam. The maestro director approached Nayan to play a pivotal role in his upcoming flick Kadal. After taking her own sweet time, the actor rejected the role on the grounds that her character did not have enough potential. Really?

Only recently, Nayan also refused to pair up opposite Malayalam actor Pasupathy, who had replaced Mammootty in a flick directed by newcomer Mohan. Guess the gorgeous actor will now work only with A-list heroes. Good luck with that, babe!

We say, come off the high horse you are perched on, missy! Because we are sure that if this continues, very soon you won’t have much to pick and choose from. And we certainly don’t want that for such a talented actor now, do we?
