Jayaram in Gautham Menon’s first Mollywood flick

The star director is a well known entity in Tamil films for his valued contribution. Gautham Menon is now stepping into Malayalam cinema with Jayaram as his lead

Director Gautham Menon is making his debut in Mollywood with Jayaram as his main hero. The ace director has been in talks with the star actor since some time now. In an interview with a channel, Jayaram confirms that he is indeed doing a film Menon. While the subject is unknown, the film is said to be a two-hero project. And the director is on a hunt for his second lead. The actor who was last seen in Njanum Ente Familiyum is super excited to work with Menon. The actor who is currently shooting A R Murugadoss’ Vijay starrer Tamil film  Thuppakki claims that he always wanted to work with Menon and is truly glad that the director’s first Malayalam film will feature him as the main lead.

According to sources, the film will be shot in Malayalam and Tamil simultaneously. Touted as a feel-good entertainer, the official announcement regarding the second lead and other cast in the project is expected to be made in April or May, once Gautham completes his Tamil-Telugu-Hindi trilingual Neethane En Pon Vasantham and Yohan – Adhyayam Ondru. At present, Gautham is shooting the trilingual in an exotic locale. He is thrilled about working with music maestro Ilaiyaraaja for the first time, in Neethane En Pon Vasantham. Even the title was inspired by a popular Ilaiyaraaja song from the film Ninaivellam Nithya (1980s). In Neethane En Pon Vasantham, heroine Samantha will share screen space with Jeeva in Tamil, Nani in Telugu and Aditya Roy Kapoor in Hindi. Ilaiyaraaja has scored the music in all three languages.
