Kamal Haasan to direct ‘Viswaroopam’ himself

Original director Selvaraghavan is busy with another project

Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam will finally have the Ulaganayagan himself directing it, after his patience wore out waiting for Selvaraghavan to give dates. Selva’s Irandam Ulagam is getting delayed and his dates are clashing with those scheduled for Viswaroopam. So, Kamal, the versatile film personality decided to wield the megaphone himself, rather than wait for Selva’s time. Kamal will be directing a film for the third time, after Hey Ram and Virumandi. Sources say that there has not been any misunderstanding between the talented director and the star and have indicated a future occasion when they would work together. While Kamal will now do a new story with the same title, Sonakshi Sinha will be retained as the heroine. Kamal will also be handling the screenplay, dialogues and lyrics for this movie. It will be a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and will be shot extensively in the UK.
