Kamal Haasan will preside over the celebrations today
Moondram Ulaga Por, a book written by ace lyricist Vairamuthu, will be released in Chennai today (July 13) evening by DMK president and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, in the presence of Kamal Haasan and other citizens of Kollywood. Vairamuthu and Karunanidhi share a close rapport. The lyricist’s friend, prolific Tamil writer Jayakanthan, will receive the first copy while Kamal will preside over the celebrations.
Moondram Ulaga Por is a compilation of a series of articles Vairamuthu wrote in a popular Tamil weekly on the need for afforestation and live an eco-friendly lifestyle. Some of Vairamuthu’s other popular literary works include Karuvachi Kaaviyam and Kallikattu Idhigasam.
