Mahesh Babu, happy birthday!
The Tollywood star actor, Mahesh Babu was born on August 9, 1975
The Prince may be turning 37 today, but he hasn’t lost his golden touch one bit.The leading star of Tollywood, Mahesh Babu continues to pick his movies with care, preferring quality over quantity, and turns in superlative performances each time. Although he rarely exceeds his limit of one film a year, his shelves are lined with so many awards and accolades. He has had no shortage of experience or training, having begun as a child artiste at the age of four and being directed by his father in 1987 in Sankharavam. But then he focused on his academics and took a break from showbiz.
1999 saw Mahesh Babu return as hero in Raja Kumarudu, which won him a Nandi award for best male debutant. And he has remained the uncrowned prince of Tollywood ever since. Other award-winning performances followed, in movies such as Murari, Okkadu, Nijam and Pokkiri. All the while, he has taken his time with his films, appearing in only Khaleja in 2010 and Dookudu in 2011. In 2012 there’s The Businessman and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
