Mammootty and Mohanlal in ‘Randaamoozham’?

The Malayalam film industry has been buzzing with excitement ever since veteran director Hariharan announced his desire to make MT Vasudevan Nair’s Jnanpith award-winning novel Randaamoozham

The film not only brings together a great scripter and director, there is every chance that the state’s biggest superstars will get to face-off in the film. The novel, which tells the epic Mahabharat from the viewpoint of Bheem, the second of the five Pandavas, is currently being converted into a bound script for the movie. According to the latest buzz, MT Vasudevan himself is working on the writing and should have it ready by end of the month. As per reports, Mohanlal is set to essay the role of ‘Bheem’ in the movie while Mammootty is being chased to portray the character of arch rival Duryodhan. In addition, several prominent actors from Kollywood and Mollywood are likely to play key roles. Hariharan has promised a magnum opus of sorts and is reportedly keen to bring in the best of technicians from Hollywood for the filming. Randaamoozham is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan and the first schedule is likely to be held sometime in January. Mammootty and Mohanlal were last seen together in Twenty Twenty. If both the stars agree to do the film, their popularity together is bound to take the film to greater heights.Subscribe to me on YouTube
