The two will work together for the second time, after Daddy Cool

Nothing succeeds like success. So, after Daddy Cool and Salt and Pepper, director Aashiq Abu will once again team up with superstar Mammootty for his next film. Titled Gangster, it is being billed as one of the most stylish films on the underworld to be made in India. Gangster will also star Tamil actor Parthiban and renowned actress Rohini Hathangadi in important roles. However, the female lead is yet to be finalised. Once that is done, Abu will begin shooting. Earlier, Abu and Mammootty had worked together in the superhit film Daddy Cool (2009). The film launched Abu as a director.
