Mammootty’s ‘Venicile Vyapari’ joins the remix brigade
Malayalam superstar Mammootty to groove to the remixed version of a song from Angadi, released in 1980
Mollywood has now taken a liking to remixes. What began as a joke in Mohanlal’s Chota Mumbai with the remix of superhit song ‘Chettikulagara bharanikaavil ulsavam’ has become a rage.In recent times, Prithviraj brought alive Oru Madhurakinavin in his film Tejabhai and Family. Now, Mammootty will jive to the remix of superhit romantic number Kannum kannum thammil thammil from Angadi, released in 1980. The original song with Jayan and Seema was a smash hit. The song will be remixed for Mammootty’s upcoming film Venicile Vyapari and Mammootty will have Poonam Bajwa to groove with him. The song will be shot in Ooty and Mysore. Music director Bijibal will remix the song for the film, directed by Shafi. Mammootty will be seen in three different avatars in Venicile Vyapari – a police constable, an undercover cop and a coir merchant in this film, set in the 1980s.
