The veteran filmmaker’s stars Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair
The wait was finally over. The lead pair of Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, made their first public appearance on Thursday.The young actors were officially launched at the audio release function of the film’s Telugu version, Kadali, in Hyderabad. The event saw the participation of some of the big guns of Tollywood and Kollywood, including Mani Ratnam, A R Rahman, Arjun, Karthik, Suhasini, Radha and Lakshmi Manchu.
Rahman performed a few songs from the movie, and walked away with huge applause from the audience. A few hours before the event, Gautham, son of yesteryear hero Karthik, tweeted: ‘First public appearance, audio launch of Kadali in Hyderabad, nervous.’ Well, let’s hope the newcomers do a fine job and make us proud!
