After the not so successful Kadal, the director has started working on his next venture
Mani Ratnam is a man of few words. Instead, he allows his films to do all the talking. The ace director is now said to be gearing up to start his next venture. “Mani sir returned to Chennai recently from Kodaikanal, where he was on a vacation trip. He is currently busy with preliminary works for his next,” sources said.
It is said that Mani’s upcoming movie would be set against a urban backdrop, a straight contrast when compared to his recent two films – Ravanan and Kadal.
Kadal, which hit the screens last month, was about the lives of fishermen in the coastal areas of Southern Tamil Nadu. Earlier there was a rumour that Mani would work with Vijay for his upcoming project. But there was no confirmation neither from Mani nor Vijay.
