The talented Mollywood actress turns 31 today
The South India actor was born on February 15, 1982. It’s been a decade and more in film biz and she can look back at a career studded with some superb performances and a line-up of awards as well.
The story goes that Meera Jasmine’s entry into films happened quite by accident. Apparently, she and her friends from school were watching a film shooting when she was noticed by Blessy, who was then an assistant to Lohithadas. She was offered a role in Sutradharan and that’s how it all began for her in Malayalam films.
Meera has acted alongside all the top heroes in Mollywood and her Paadam Onnu Oru Vilapam won her the National Award for Best Actress in 2003. She put up other excellent performances in films such as Achuvinte Amma and Ore Kadal.
Meera’s first films in Tamil were Run and Bala and she followed that up with Kasthuri Maan, Pen Singam, Ayitha Ezhuthu and more recently, Mambattiyan. She’s acted in Kannada and Telugu films as well and is now awaiting the release of the Telugu film, Moksha.
In Mollywood, she’s busy with Ladies and Gentlemen and Miss Lekha Tharoor Kaanunnathu.
