The Kochadaiiyaan actor displayed his sheer professionalism as he joins the Uttama Villain crew just days after his son’s near fatal accident
It has been a really trying weekend for actor Nasser’s family. Kollywood was jolted by the news of Nasser’s son Faizal’s terrible car accident killing three people on the spot. With his son out of danger, veteran actor Nasser surprised everyone with his professional ethics when he showed up for the shoot of Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain, when no one expected.
Nasser, who was in a state of disarray after his son’s accident, received tremendous support from the Tamil film industry as K-town celebs thronged to hospital and prayed on Twitter. Industry stalwarts of the likes Kamal Haasan, Gauthami, Cheran and director Bala rushed to Chettinad Hospital in Kelambakkam to put an arm around the distraught father. Stars like Khushboo, Radhika Sarathkumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar expressed their shock and sorrow on this unfortunate incident and urged the fans to pray for Nasser’s son.
Faisal is said to have undergone a major surgery and is currently out of danger. No one would have kept up their prior commitments when one’s loved one is battling for life in hospital – no one except for Nasser. With his son in the path of recovery, the experienced actor Nasser returned to do what he knows best – acting.
This act of professionalism from Nasser has been lauded by one and all. Nasser, who is playing a baddie in Uttama Villain, reciprocated the kind gesture of Kamal Haasan and was present for the shoot of Uttama Villain, touching the hearts of the makers of the film. Time and again the seasoned actor had shown why the cine industry has so much respect for Nasser.
