Anything for love, seems to be Nayan’s motto in life
Love, they say, knows no boundaries. So, when superstar Nayanthara decided to give up fame and glory for her much married and divorced beau Prabhu Deva, a religious divide was the last thing on our minds. After all, we hardly associate her with her birth name Diana Mariam Kurien. Born to a Christian family, Nayanthara had changed her name when she entered tinseltown. Now she has changed her religion for the sake of her husband’s family. Our sources tell us that Nayan landed in Chennai over the weekend and drove to the Arya Samaj temple near Chennai Central Railway Station for the conversion ceremony. As part of the ceremony, the priests made her recite some mantras and performed a ritual bath. After this process, they handed over a certificate confirming her conversion to Hinduism. We’re told that the actor went back to Kochi after the ceremony without visiting her fiancé. Sources close to the couple suggest that the wedding dates may be announced any time now as Prabhu Deva’s family was reportedly waiting for this ceremony to be over before deciding on the venue. Nayan, who had debuted in the Malayalam movie Manasiakkare about a decade ago, was linked with several co-stars in Tamil and Telugu before director-choreographer Prabhu Deva came on the scene. The latter too underwent a painful divorce and settlement prior to the link-up with Nayan.
