Nayanthara wins Nandi Award for the portrayal of Sita

The babe from South is over the moon, having been chosen for the prestigious Nandi award by the Andhra Pradesh government

Nayanthara bagged the award for her performance in Sri Rama Rajyam.

“Not many thought it was a good idea when I was selected by director Bapu to play Sita. But Bapu sir was firm and I am grateful to him,” she says. “I am so happy to have been selected for the Nandi award. I gave the role my best. Sri Rama Rajyam is one of the important films in my career.”

The Billa and Chandramukhi actor is currently making a comeback in the industry after a hiatus. She has got projects in Kollywood and Tollywood, including Ajith’s forthcoming yet untitled film and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum with Rana Daggubati. Looks like breaking it off with Prabhu Deva is doing wonders for Nayan’s professional life, no?
