The actor has accused the director for using a body double to shoot intimate scene without her knowledge
Southern actor Nazriya Nizam, who is gearing up for the release of Tamil comedy-drama Naiyaandi this Friday, has filed a complaint against the film’s director A Sarkunam alleging that he has used a body double to shoot intimate scenes without informing her.
On Sunday, Nazriya lodged a complaint with the South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) against director Sarkunam and producer S Kathiresan asking for immediate action.
“I have complained against the producer-director of Naiyaandi to Nadigar Sangam (SIFAA) for cheating. They have used a body double to shoot scenes without my permission. This is against contractual agreements. We will take legal action,” posted Nazriya on her Facebook page.
The scene she was referring to is one where Dhanush hugs her from behind. “Director Sarkunam has used a body double to shoot some intimate scenes in the film. He didn’t seek permission from me for the same and when I contacted him he said that since I was unwilling to shoot that particular scene, he used a double. I want immediate action to be taken against the director or producer,” Nazriya said in her statement to SIFAA. SIFAA is reviewing her complaint and is likely to take action. Director Sarkunam was unavailable for comment.
The film also features Soori, Satish, Saranya Ponvannan, Vamsi Krishna, Singampuli, Sriman in important roles.
