The Bengali model takes her first steps in south cinema with the song

Bengali model-cum-actor Nilaanjana Bhattacharya has now set her sights on making a mark in south cinema. And she has taken the first step by agreeing to do an item number in the upcoming Telugu film Duniya. She will sizzle and wiggle her hips in the steamy item number, set along the lines of Dabangg‘s Munni badnaam hui.

The song has been conceptualised against the backdrop of a dhaba by the choreographer Vijay and the buzz is that it will be a lot like Malaika Arora Khan’s item number in Dabangg. Nilaanjana does not refute that. She says, “This is my first item number and I am very excited about it. Like Munni badnam hui, it’s a fantastic song, very naughty and rustic.”

Hopefully, it will work the same magic for her that Munni… worked for Malaika. She also has the advantage of the film being the Telugu version of a superhit Kannada flick. Will this double lucky combination work wonders for Nilaanjana? Let’s wait and watch.
