No sequel to Vijay Sethupathi’s Pizza

After a hugely successful first outing, people were eagerly waiting for part two. Alas, the director has doused all speculations and now, there would be no ‘second serving’ of Pizza

Director Karthik Subburaj moved into the limelight with his debut venture, Pizza. A suspense thriller, the film won the admiration of the audience and critics last year.

It was widely speculated in Kollywood that the director would make a sequel to Pizza. However, Karthik ruled out any such development. “I don’t have plans to make Pizza 2,” he said.

He added, “I am currently penning the script of my second directorial venture and it will be totally different from Pizza. An official announcement will be out soon.”

Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Ramya Nambeesan and others, Pizza was produced by CV Kumar, who had produced Attakathi before.
