Now, complaint against Jayam Ravi-Neetu Chandra’s Aadhi Bhagavan

The dust hasn’t even settled on Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam that one more movie has come under the scanner; this time for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments

An advocate in Chennai has filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner on Monday, alleging that the title of the upcoming movie Aadhi Bhagavan, and its content, hurt Hindu sentiments.

In his complaint, lawyer Krishnamurthy said, “We want the title to be changed and some scenes to be removed.” He also asked for a special screening of the movie for Hindu leaders.

Directed by Ameer Sultan, the movie has Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in lead roles. Produced by J Anbazhagan of Anbu Pictures, the movie is slated to hit the screens in the first week of February.

Reacting to the complaint, Anbazhagan said the complaint could have been filed to get some publicity in view of the Vishwaroopam row. “There is nothing in the movie which court hurt the sentiments of anyone,” Anbazhagan said.
