We wonder why the National Award-winning actor is working hard to bag a supporting role in Dammu

Heroines trying hard to get a coveted role is nothing new. But when we heard that a top actress like Priyamani is trying really hard to bag a supporting role in Jr NTR’s next film Dammu, we were surprised. More so since the female lead is being played by a relatively less successful actress, Shruti Haasan.

The buzz is that Priyamani is hoping Jr NTR, with whom she starred in Yamadonga, will persuade Dammu’s director Boyapati Sreenu to cast her in the role. We wonder why Priyamani is trying so hard. Is it the character? Or is she just trying to boost her Tollywood career since she has no biggie project in her kitty (she is only working on Kshetram with Jagapathi Babu right now)?

With everyone involved with the project being tight-lipped, we just have to wait for the official announcement.
